Laser Facial Hair Removal For Dark Hair
We all have things we would like to change about ourselves. Some of them we can improve by wearing garments with the right cut or a touch of carefully placed makeup, but there are some things that are not so easily masked. Facial hair is one of those things that is pretty much impossible to hide while also being one of the first things that you wish you could.
There are a lot of ways you can improve your appearance if you have unwanted facial hair. Of course you can shave or even wax the area, but with both of those options you set yourself up for even more problems in the future. Your hair might grow back darker and thicker and having stubble is just unpleasant all around. Much better to get rid of the hair completely if you can.
And you can! You can go through electrology. This will permanently remove your hairs. It works whether the hair is light or dark, thick or thin. A needle is inserted into each hair follicle which then conducts electricity there, damaging it and preventing it from growing hair again. This method must be done over the course of a few years.
A more common method these days is laser facial hair removal. This uses laser light which is shot down the length of the hair shaft which also causes damage to the follicle. This process is much less time intensive and you can have the hair removed from your face within an hour or so.
If you decide to have laser facial hair removal done you will first need to talk to the doctor. You will discuss your options and the chances for success. You will also learn what to expect in the healing process and any possible negative side effects.
You need to be aware that laser facial hair removal works on pigment so it will only successfully remove darker hairs. The best candidates for this type of treatment are those with lighter skin complexions and dark hair. If you have light or fine hair, electrology is a better option for you.
Laser facial hair removal cannot be classified as a permanent hair removal technique. Hair does grow back, but it usually grows back lighter and finer. Also, after a few treatments it may not grow back at all.
As with any medical procedure this cosmetic one has its risks. One of these is that your skin pigmentation may be affected and you may have lightening of the skin around the treated area. Also, your skin will swell in response to the treatment and you will need to wait a few days for it to heal completely.
If you are tired of your mustache or other dark hair on your face laser facial laser treatment might be the best way to get rid of it. Look into your options and decide what is the best one for you.
